Lacking

The one thing lacking from thanksgiving is the deplorable lack of chocolate. Everything is pumpkin or pecan, but not chocolate. We of the RDC prefer chocolate much more than pumpkins or pecans. But we must resign ourselves to the boundaries our society has set for us until reformers come and set small trifles like this right. And eventually, when we find enough time, we'll be those reformers.

Unbelieveable

We of the RDC have for the first time tasted chocolate meringues. Kathryn was eating mountains of them while studying for geometry and gave us some. They are incredible.

Tribulations of Life

Some tribulations of life include:

Going to school
Doing homework
Getting sick (on the weekend too!)

All these things have been discussed and branded as tribulations of life in this RDC meeting.

Sad

On her half birthday, poor Kathryn is stuck studying for a biology exam tomorrow. She got home from school, did her homework and studied for an hour. Then she went to piano, got home, ate dinner and is still studying and will be for a long while yet. The reason? Her student teacher who has been teaching this unit is terrible and so Kathryn has had to teach the entire unit to herself which is hard to do if you start out not knowing any of the material. Life is a challenge.

Watery Eyes

We of the RDC have watery eyes due to an onion increase in this general vicinity. First cold bills, now watery eyes. First falling markets, then rising markets. What is this world coming to?

Cold Bills

Us of the RDC have been having very cold bills as of late. It is ominous to have cold bills. Jimmy even woke up this morning with a cold bill and cold feet. What is this world coming to?

All of the RDC
(It was a joint effort to write this post as we had to take turns typing. With cold bills, you can only handle so much typing at a time)

Fun on the Run in the Sun

We, the RDC had fun on the run in the sun. Actually, we stayed in Kathryn's backpack for most of the time, only venturing out once or twice. The people at her youth group are actually really nice though except for this one kid who kept on making noises by blowing into grass and he thought it sounded like a duck quacking. Which was, of course, absurd because ducks have a much more dignified quack. Well, then this kid went on to teach it to someone else who thought it sounded like a goose (which it kind of did, for it was a rather inferior quack)

talk soon,

Our Apologies for recent lacking in posts

But life has been teeming. What with up coming elections, studying for all kinds of tests, babysitting, having piano lessons, eating/sleeping/all other necessities of life, we have been consumed in things of great importance. And now we must go and make ready for a very exciting vice presidential debate which will be coming up ever so soon. And congress had a better get their bills ready cause the RDC has a lot of stuff to say to it.

Human Beings

The contemplation of human beings is fascinating. They're not like us ducks, simple and easy to read. No, they are complex creatures which never cease to make us ducks shake our heads in wonder. Such emotions, such evil intentions, such intently murderous purposes. Yes, human beings are incredibly interesting.

Life Goes On

Well, faithful readers, we are still living and thriving to certain extents. Actually, the "certain extents" I must say would pertain to the later rather the former. We go to school. We come back home. We wake up faithfully with Kathryn each morning as the clock strikes midnight, or so at least it seems.

Yesterday, we had our first visit to turning point, Kathryn's youth group. Nothing much is to be said on that topic, however.

We thank you, once more, for reading our blog and taking an authentic interest in our daily escapades.

Most affably and sincerely,

Jimmy of the RDC

Tragedy

That's right, my friends. Tragedy. Lethal, horrific tragedy. On Wednesday, September 10, 2008, my devoted friends Freddy and Georgi-Anna were wounded by one of the many dangers at Saline High. That place is a dangerous place. Tonight they will come back from the hospital. We do not need to fear for our dear ducky friend's lives any longer. Their lives are no longer in danger, thank you for your concern.

Sincerely,

Jimmy of the RDC

Matilda's Day At School

Today was an adventure. We started out by waking up at 6 AM, yeah, yeah, I know, it is ridiculously early. But what can I say? We learned about Je m'apelle in French. I picked a French name...Je m'apelle Nadine. In biology, I looked at Kathryn's friend's cheek cells through a microscope. Oh, and I forgot, in the morning, Kathryn took us to the library. She stuck the RDC all over the library and took pictures of us. People look at us funny. Of course, we don't care what they think at all. And that was not a sarcastic tone. The rest of the day was pretty boring. Kathryn couldn't talk to us because she had to pay attention to her teachers. We got to eat lunch with her though. More people look at us funny. I personally think that they need more ethnic exposure, I mean if they make a funny face at a purple rubber duck, what will they do when they see my cousin the rainbow colored rubber duck. Or my other cousin once removed, the duck born with webbed feet in place of his head. Kids these days...

Au Revior!

Making Things Clear

Hey, Matilda speaking. Or rather writing. I figured that it was about time someone make things clear. I know this will be painful for you all to hear, but we're actually not rubber ducks. We're note cards. Once, a long time ago, we were rubber ducks, running free in the wild. Then, we were taken and are now nothing but note cards. That's right, note cards. Then, when we were bought, we became something more. Now, we are they Rubber Duck Crew. Our identity has been restored. We have been mounted on pieces of vibrant card stock and dwell in contentment. Do not think less of the RDC simply because we are two dimensional.

Ever Fondly,

Georgi-Anna of the RDC

What's Up?

This is Freddy speaking and he's confused. Those crazy brothers of Kathryn have been leaving what they call "duck language" comments on poor Sweet Stuff's introduction. Please disregard them, they are simply being the rambunctious, mischievous boys, just as I once was.

I speak for all the RDC

Ciao!
Freddy of the RDC

Introducing...

...SWEET STUFF!!!!!!

Hello folks! It's a pleasure to meet you! My name is sweet stuff. I'm an ENFJ which means a lot of things but I'm not going to go into them all right now. I adore any form of Turkish Delight, though I realize that it was the falling of many a great hero...okay, okay, maybe just one. Anyway, my favorite book is Peter Rabbit and I love swimming (like any true ducky) I have two siblings, Dumpling and Punchenello. My homeland is the great sea of the Mediterranean. The greatest trepidation of my life, not counting my capture, was when I got swimmers ear and my favorite movie is finding nemo. My best friends are Matilda and Georgi-Anna, two dear ducks which you will meet soon.

It's been great everyone, just great! Leave me some comments (Jimmy and I have a bet going about who'll be the most popular on this blog and get the most comments so leave me the most...please!!!!)

Until next time,

Sweet Stuff of the RDC

Welcome to the Rubber Duck Crew (RDC)

Welcome! This is Jimmy writing (I'm the blue one) We're going to have lots of fun with our posts informing you on our day to day adventures.

There are five of us, me (Jimmy), Freddy, Sweet Stuff, Matilda and Georgi-Anna. We take turns going where ever Kathryn goes. She's the one who rescued us from IKEA yesterday where we were being held in captivity.

One of us will post as least once a week after we hold our weekly meetings which are Saturday and Sunday. Thanks for stopping by. In a little while, one of us will go ahead and post pictures of and our biographies and all that junk.

Sincerely,

Jimmy for the RDC
